Archibald / Williams: see everything before you mortgage
Uno homes has launched a new home loan platform that gives borrowers access to tools and technology once only available to bankers and brokers. It lets them see all the available rates and products.
It was Archibald/Williams’ job to communicate the importance of this. Rather than preach about uno’s virtues, the agency let a real life situation do the job of showing people why uno’s platform matters.
The agency filmed a “semi-open” house, an open for inspection in which only some of the rooms could be inspected. Naturally, visitors were frustrated. Their frustration makes uno’s point.
“When we say ‘open house’ inspection it’s not literally every single room.” “Er, yes it is.”
“So people are buying houses without seeing every single room?”
“I want to look at every single room.”
“Every room is relevant.”
“Do you really want to see the laundry?” “Yes!”
Kirsty Davison, chief marketing officer of uno explained, “When it comes to choosing a home loan, we know that customers prioritise getting a better deal over any other factor. But despite this, when getting a home loan through a lender or a traditional mortgage broker, many people feel they aren’t shown all of the options available to them – which means there are many rates and products they’re simply not seeing.
“The goal of this campaign is to help people looking for a home loan to realise that there may be better loans that they may not be seeing when they talk to just one lender or a traditional broker – and that uno is completely transparent in displaying all products available to a customer from our panel of lenders.”
Matt Gilmour, executive creative director of Archibald Williams, added. “The research told us that customers are constantly fearful of getting a bad deal on their mortgage or at least not seeing the best options. We want to help uno shake things up by talking about the transparency that uno is bringing into the whole process – giving the power to the people.”
