Know someone who could benefit from a mentor? Planning a move to London yourself? Looking to build your network in a new city? Assisterhood, the mentorship program that began in Australia, is taking its next big international step, officially launching its first London chapter.
Founded in Brisbane, in 2018 by Linh Diep, Assisterhood has grown into APAC’s leading mentorship program for underrepresented talent, connecting emerging professionals with senior leaders across advertising, marketing, media, creative, strategy, design and technology.
Now, it is making its mark in the UK, with 10 founding London mentors confirmed and a search for 10 mentees to join them. The inaugural London mentor lineup features senior talent from some of the industry’s biggest names, including LIONS, Dr. Martens, Cadbury and WPP.
The expansion follows Assisterhood’s biggest year yet. In 2026, the program welcomed a record 98 mentorship partnerships from more than 420 applications globally, demonstrating a growing appetite for meaningful industry mentorship. Its impact also extends well beyond the mentorship itself. According to Assisterhood’s alumni surveys, 62% of mentees secured a promotion or new role within 12 months of participating, while 85% reported gaining new skills and experience.
For Diep, who is now based in London and works as a business director at Droga5 London, the launch is an opportunity to bring the community and connections built in Australia to another of the world’s leading creative markets.
She stated, ‘When we started Assisterhood in 2018, it was five mentors and fivementees who believed that access to the right people could change someone’ s career. Nine years later, we’re taking that same belief to London. Australia has an incredible creative industry, and Assisterhood has been shaped by the generosity of the people in it. To now bring that spirit to another market is something I’m incredibly proud of. Different city, same mission.Making sure talent and potential aren’t limited.’
The London Assisterhood is being brought to life by an all-Australian expat team, including Linh Diep, Polina Shilenina, Jess Roberts, Alice Heraud, and Elliott Holohan and launched officially on 29 October 2026.
With no shortage of Aussies calling London home, Assisterhood is encouraging its Australian community to spread the word. Applications for the inaugural London cohort open October 29. Apply or encourage someone to become a mentee at assisterhood.co.uk. And those interested in becoming mentors for future London programs can also register their interest via the website.
