Pepsi and pizza. BBDO is making it THE thing. Pepsi chased drivers delivering pizza in the US to add free Pepsi to orders. BBDO also filmed it – because viewers love the adrenalin rush of car chases, because the legality of a car chase is deliciously questionable, and because it’s a viral waiting to go boom. The agency is also making sure that viral hit happens with cutdowns and bloopers from the videos across Instagram, Facebook, X and TikTok.
Pepsi and BBDO took advantage of “pizza night” in the US – nearly 43% of pizza orders are placed there on Fridays. So, on September 13, Pepsi chased pizza drivers in a hot sports car to make sure that the delivery came with a free Pepsi.

While pizza lovers were no doubt thrilled by the Pepsi Car Chase idea, pizza delivery drivers were apparently not. The film ends with a social media prize when one driver comments on his phone, “They’re still following me…I don’t know. Some kind of Tik Tok bullshit.”

A Pepsi partnership with Doordash will also hand out free pizzas for Pepsi purchases at Little Caesars, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut and Marco’s Pizza.
The campaign is an extension of the #BetterWithPepsi brand platform that encourages consumers to pair the beverage with various foods. (Cola-infused pepperoni pizza, anyone?)
