Lacoste and BETC are bringing some good into the end of 2020, supporting Apprentis d’Auteuil, a French association that has been working since 1866 for the education, training and social and professional integration of young people throughout France. Between December 14 and 20, all orders sent to France from Lacoste.com will include a delivery slip for Apprentis d’Auteuil. This voucher will allow the recipient to send one or more items of clothing to the association, from any brand, free of charge.
“The Lacoste Foundation has been involved with Apprentis d’Auteuil for several years through a programme for the integration of young people through sport. With Give for Good, we are continuing our commitment alongside this association to support the most vulnerable,” explained Catherine Spindler, EVP branding and marketing at Lacoste.
“After a hectic 2020 and end-of-year celebrations that will be even more difficult for some, we wanted to add a gesture of solidarity to Lacoste online orders during one of the most active weeks in e-commerce,” added Aurélie Scalabre and Olivier Aumard, creative directors at BETC.
The partners are hoping that all the impulse purchases that weren’t quite right, the clothes whose style came and went during lockdown and any other clothing still in good condition but rarely worn will get a second chance at life.
Apprentis d’Auteuil Foundation’s mission is to welcome, educate, train and integrate young people and support families in difficulty, and has benefited from a ten-year partnership with Lacoste. In 2010, the association launched a Tennis-School programme with Lacoste. Each year, this project allows 500 young people between the ages of 6 and 20 to benefit from regular tennis practice in 21 Apprentis d’Auteuil establishments.
