On Thursday, June 25, at 2 p.m. CEST on the Terrace, BETTER Studios opens the most “organised” climate change advocacy work yet, Last Resorts, the only timeshare for the climate apocalypse.


Last Resorts will be launched at a featured speaker session by BETTER Studios founder, Ben Becker, featuring a cabana check-in desk, vacation apparel made from upcycled waste streams, and limited-edition collectibles like Last Resorts Bingo, “the only game where everybody’s guaranteed to lose.”


The campaign, a film, installation, and immersive experience, partners with Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity to rally against the ever-pressing impact of climate change.
The film, a parody shopping channel infomercial introduces Last Resorts, the hospitality experience for the end of the world. It was produced by BETTER Studios and directed by Kristyna Archer, and BUTTER Music and Sound set the tone with upbeat shopping network-style tracks, paired with sound design from Eleven Sound, edited by Andrew Ratzlaff at Cabin, VFX from JAMM, and additional AI support from Illumedia Studio.


Last Resorts offers a more climate-controlled life – for as long as you can afford it. Tucked 15 metres underground in reinforced steel bunkers, residents enjoy endless virtual sunsets and all-you-can-eat freeze-dried cuisine (per your monthly ration).
