If the individual Cannes Lions (and other) awards results this year didn’t give you a clue, creativity is going wild (in a very good way) in the Asia Pacific region. Australia is ranked 5th, Japan ranked 7th, India ranked 12th in the Cannes Report rankings 2014.
Dentsu and Hakuhodo hold the top spots in APAC’s agency rankings, with Y&R Beijing taking third, Leo Burnett Sydney fourth and Colenso BBDO in Auckland fifth.
Number one in the Regional Network of the Year was taken by BBDO for the Asia Pacific region.
The Cannes Report rankings, analysis and insight has made itself the who’s who in adland worldwide: “If you want to know who your biggest competitor is, check out the most recognised talent, identify the biggest growth regions or know who the most awarded clients are, then this really is a must-have. With over 37,400 entries from more than 90 countries, Cannes Lions is the largest global awards for creativity in communications and as such, the Cannes Report offers truly reflective and accurate industry statistics,” Philip Thomas, chief executive officer of Lions Festivals, noted.
It ranks the most awarded advertisers, independents, networks, production companies, agencies and clients, as well as art directors, copywriters, creative directors and directors. The official top 20 rankings will also be available for Agency of the Year, Independent Agency of the Year, and the Palme d’Or, as well as top 10 rankings for Holding Company of the Year, Media Network of the Year and Network of the Year.
The Cannes Report is only available through the Cannes Lions Archive, to which you need to subscribe. This where Cannes Lions is housing 330,000 pieces of top tier work, listed by brand, country and agency, and 300 hours of viewable content from recent Festivals.
