The inaugural Conero Film + ADV, an event dedicated to championing sustainable practices within the advertising industry, was held September 1 – 3 in Italy. The event, led by the Local Bizzarro collective of filmmakers, graphic designers, and creatives working in the field of advertising videos and cinema, brought together creative minds to celebrate innovation, conversation, and recognition of exceptional video productions submitted to the festival. Conero Film + ADV intends to be more than event – a movement, a testament to the power of creativity and sustainability hand in hand.
This year’s winners were an eclectic mix of independent and commercial projects:
Best Production Design: Choco Hoax, directed by Alice Fassi, is a satirical mirror, brilliantly reflecting society’s greenwashing habits and rampant consumerism.
Best Sound: Giuseppe Puocci’s Knotwear People, pays homage to the artisanal and sustainable knitwear brand, Gaia Segattini Knotwear.
Best Cast: Eroica, directed by Nathan De Pas Habib, was inspired by Chino Amobi’s literary work.

Best Cinematography: Daria Geller’s Everybody Knows, a compelling music video and a poignant political statement addressing the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Best Passion Project: Killian Lassablière’s Kukeri invites viewers into the captivating world of Bulgaria’s ancient “Kukeri” tradition, designed to ward off malevolent spirits.
Best Fashion Film: Futuri Aprili, directed by the emerging Enrico Bellenghi, is a raw and intimate exploration of youth identity through candid conversations on camera.
In keeping with the festival’s core mission to decentralise the creative industry away from oversaturated urban hubs, the entire Conero community came together between September 1-3. The event welcomed an international cohort of film directors, editors, producers, and agencies, including Barbara Guieu (Founder, Partner, and Executive Producer – C41), Giuliano Fiumani (SFX Supervisor), MarBelle (Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief – Directors Notes), Mia Powell (Head of Business & Strategy – PRETTYBIRD), Pablo Chocrón (Head of Communications – Canada), Niccolò Montanari (Founder – Curation Hour), and Philipp Ulita (CEO – Berlin Commercial).
The inaugural edition of the event ignited a spark of inspiration fulfilling its ambition to be a transformative format for the film and advertising industry.
