A really successful industry event is a tough act to follow but Limehouse achieved it last night – a stellar Creative Circle #2 at co-host, Squeak E.Clean Studios with Campaign Brief.
Limehouse had filled Misfits when it hosted the first Creative Circle event in June with the aim of bringing together a diverse cross-section of the ad industry. It hoped that Creative Circle would be where agency and production people, artists and freelancers could mingle and maybe make the industry a little bit better by sharing a chat, a little knowledge and a bit of insight. The aim was to get together people who wouldn’t normally meet – an informal industry networking night blended with fun.
People loved the idea. The feedback was terrific. And the turn-up (a very full house) must have amply rewarded the Limehouse team’s efforts. Creative Circle #2 had to conquer a drizzly Sydney night to outdo its predecessor.
And it did.
Squeak E. Clean added music industry favourite, Coach House Sessions, with an exclusive set from breaking talent, Carla Wehbe. Atomic, 4 Pillars and AV provided the essential drinks and ambience.
Creative Circle is not entirely selfless. The concept underlines how Limehouse works. It has a global network of talent, some of whom are freelancers. And it is an eager networker, always on the look-out for the best people possible to include in its bank of talent.
Whether people left with new ideas or inspired someone with theirs; whether they just came for the drink, the great company or to catch up with old mates…all of this was included in Limehouse’s hopes for the evening. By the close of the event, it looked as though all of those hopes had been achieved. It was a really, really great night.
