The Cresta Awards has opened for entries with a major category revamp and new Creative Business Awards. Enter in the standard categories at Cresta this year and you can enter the new Creative Business Awards free of charge.
Cresta’s radical revamp also includes new categories, Brand Purpose, Long Term Creativity, Healthcare, B2B and Luxury & Fashion. And Digital Design now gets separate categories alongside the traditional print design.
“We’ve spent the last year listening to and learning from senior creatives right across the world, and these improvements for 2020 are a result of that research,” stated Lewis Blackwell, Cresta chief executive officer.
“One thing that worried many was what they called ‘category inflation’ so we have developed a simplified structure at the same time as making sure our categories accurately reflect the broad scope of today’s industry.”
“The new Creative Business Awards are a project ‘very close to my heart’,” adds Cresta president, Alan Page.
“I have always believed that ‘how’ you work is as important as the work itself, and these new awards for Culture, Workplace and Activism are an opportunity to celebrate the very best companies in the business. It is no secret that the best places to work also tend to create the best work.”
Blackwell and Page took over Cresta last year and, following a successful reboot season in which entrant numbers and countries entering jumped considerably, they are intent on building a broad international platform that champions creativity and delivers real value to its participants.
“We will shortly publish our first Cresta International Review, which features compelling evidence of the power of creativity, and in particular the work of our winners,” Blackwell stated.
“It is great to win an award, but it’s also essential in today’s highly competitive market to show creativity’s importance to the success of clients and brands. And this is what we will be doing for our entrants and winners.”
This year’s Cresta Awards opened for entries on February 10 with a limited period Early Bird discount and new sustainably made trophies.
