Curious director, Sam Kristofski, understands pop culture. Although he is first and foremost a commercials director with work for Visa, Coca-Cola, Uniqlo, Mentos and Pepsi in his reel, Kristofski has also been building a name for himself as a music video director, making fourteen in the last twelve months for music artists in the US, Australia and New Zealand.
Kristofski is fascinated with interesting and dynamic ways to use the camera. And his attraction to what’s quirky, or as you call it – cool – extends beyond films that underline pop music.
He has just directed a content series for French fashion label, Maison Margiela, whose creativity is now led by fashion icon, John Galliano, who has also been creative director of Givenchy, Christian Dior and his own label, John Galliano.
The videos are a collaboration between Kristofski; fashion, art and culture magazine, Purple; and musical duo, Die Antwoord.

City Calm Down by Blame
and Nakita by Sucka, New Zealand’s next big thing in pop.
