It’s not like Nobby (aka David Nobay, for those who don’t know) to send a message of unadulterated optimism to the industry. OK, there’s a little sting in its tail, it’s also a prod. It IS like Nobby to write beautifully – prose polished to perfection and interweaving grand literary style and colloquial words. (This latter observation for the writers out, there. Art directors and designers, we know you don’t care.)
Whatever your role is in this weird and wonderful business of creating ad ideas and producing them, Nobby has given you a message of comfort, encouragement…a kick up the bum. No doubt, it’s also a “message to self”. The story, written for The One Club, is called A Fresh Palette, A Clean Brush, which is exactly what David Nobay is working with right now.
