There is no better time to highlight the advantages of McDonald’s delivery service via Uber Eats than New Year’s Day. DDB New Zealand has seized the opportunity in its commercial for McDelivery, that shouldn’t be relatable but probably is. In the spot, McDonald’s saves the day by delivering post-party food to those who, clearly, need it greatly. The ad aims to remind Kiwis that McDonald’s is always there when you need it.

The ad, The Day After, will run through January. It follows the style of a series of ads created towards the end of last year by Leo Burnett in the UK, in which McDelivery saves a dad on babysitting duty and a working couple struggling to find time to be together.
