Freedom has – unquestionably – never felt so good for Victorians. They are allowed to travel a 25km radius rather than the 5km radius that has locked them in for months. Deloitte Digital and Suzuki has come up with a ripper of an idea to help them celebrate. It’s offering Joyrides, the opportunity to take a Suzuki out on the road for free (and that freedom feeling), even if they have absolutely no intention of buying a car.
The campaign film simply underlines the joy of freedom.
Rob Rosengarten, assistant marketing manager, Suzuki, stated, “It’s been a hard couple of months only being able to do laps of the same 5km. Now we’ve got some of our freedom back we thought we’d invite people to enjoy driving again. So, if you don’t have a car, or even if you do, come and take a Joyride, for no other reason than for fun’s sake.”
“Now that we can once again drive just for the fun of it, we didn’t want Suzuki to miss the opportunity to celebrate,” commented Matt Lawson, chief creative officer, Deloitte Digital.
“We hope the film reflects the joy people are feeling with this regained freedom, and what better way to do that than in a Suzuki. Because that’s literally what we’ve tried to do,” added Michael Pachota, general manager, Suzuki.
The campaign is running in OOH, digital and social channels.
