The Jack & Ash Show podcast’s Jack Remmington and Ash Holme star as modern-day agony aunts for eBay, because letting go of stuff can be a dilemma. The campaign, Dear eBay, by DEPT®, is a mini-series of 2-minute episodes in which the two agony aunts solve “love it or list it” problems for people – presenting clearing out “stuff” as rewarding, both personally and practically, with relatable stories. It coincides with “clearing out” season in the UK, showing understanding that selling possessions can be emotional, while it highlights the rewards as well as eBay features such as AI-powered listing descriptions, barcode scanning, and instant pricing suggestions.
The campaign sits within eBay’s Spectrum of Value platform that launched in September across AV, out-of-home, digital, and radio channels, and targets amateur sellers, particularly during times when people reassess what they own. The content is running across eBay UK’s Instagram, TikTok and YouTube channels, supported by talent-led amplification, influencer collaborations, CRM, paid social, and radio.
