A radio commercial that doesn’t shout, isn’t fill of price promises and tells a story that captures your heart. You don’t hear one of those very often. Eardrum brings Victorian Aussies two.
Eardrum’s two offbeat radio spots for Zoos Victoria are stories about a light-hearted turn-around for a parent worrying about too much screen time and a child dealing with the social pressures of school. Their message is that the simple act of staring at a zoo animal can be a much-needed circuit breaker to the concerns of daily life.
Actor, Kate Box (Deadloch, Wentworth), adds the perfect tome to a concept brimming with wit and warmth.
Brendan Dodd, Zoos Victoria general manager, marketing, stated, “Eardrum challenged us to be less literal and focus on the emotional benefits of visiting the zoo. The result is a charming, relatable campaign that’s bound to stand out on air.”
“We all know what we’ll see at the zoo, but we take for granted how it makes us feel,” added Ralph van Dijk, founding creative director of Eardrum. “It’s such a unique way to reconnect with nature and tune out the human world for a blissful moment.”
The campaign will be heard on Victorian radio stations throughout the summer holidays.
