Sarah McGregor has left Dentsu Creative after two-and-a-half years as executive creative director ANZ. McGregor is also a founding member of The Aunties, the Australian mentoring and events program for women in the creative industries.
She joined Dentsu Creative in April 2022 from Melbourne indie agency, Communicado, where she was executive creative director for 18 months. Prior to that she was creative director at Cummins & Partners Melbourne (3 years) and head of copy at Leo Burnett Melbourne (8 years). Earlier in her career, she spent four years at Karmarama in London as a senior copywriter.
In a 20-year career, McGregor has worked with some of the world’s best-loved brands including Toyota, Honda, Bonds, Nintendo, Peters, 7-Eleven, Virgin, Emirates and Marriage Equality and her work has been recongised around the world at top tier creative shows such as Cannes Lions, Clios and One Show, as well as effectiveness shows, including the Effies.
A supporter of young talent, she was Victorian School Head of AWARD School for three years and served on the MADC Committee as Director of MADC Presents and on The RMIT Professional Advisory Committee. This year McGregor was a mentor for AWARD Uni, part of this year’s This Way Up Festival. AWARD Uni was a curated series of workshops that inspired and equipped mid-weight creative teams and individuals with the skills, critical thinking and confidence to maximise both day-to-day successes and longer-term career potential.
