The D&AD Nominations exhibition will preview all the Australian design that’s in contention for a Yellow Pencil…
…hot off the press from D&AD Judging Week.
The exhibition will run at 15minute intervals throughout the day.
On Friday 4th April, there will also be a special 1 hour showcase of this year’s Best in Show. It runs between 6-7pm and is open to all members of the Australian creative community and media.
Tim Lindsay, chief executive of D&AD, commented, “Australia is an incredibly important country for us at D&AD. The standard of the creative output from Australian agencies continues to turn heads at the Awards each year and we’re delighted to be able to showcase some of the best work ahead of the Ceremony on 22 May, when we’ll find out who will take home a Yellow Pencil.”
The D&AD Nominations exhibition is in partnership with agIdeas, which is hosting a number of events through the week, including:
Look Upstairs: April 2-4 (Hamer Hall Arts Centre Melbourne).
The three day design forum, curated by Ken Cato and in partnership with Art Centre Melbourne, will present the world’s most innovative design solutions.
41 creative leaders from 20 nations in communication design, industrial design, multimedia design and design for the built environment are to share their expertise and experience.
Design Garden, April 2-5 (Arts Centre Melbourne).
The Arts Centre Melbourne Plaza (Lawn) will be transformed by Six Degrees Architects with support from Simon Taylor Landart into a free design hub for Melbourne International Design Week, where local and international designers can exchange ideas and opportunities.
In addition, this week D&AD has also announced a strategic partnership with The Communications Council and AWARD. The two like-minded organisations will share resources, ideas and seek to create closer ties between the respective creative communities.
