Filmgraphics has given itself a significant facelift. It has signed three new directors – Steve Callen, Christopher Frey and director/DoP, Gerard Lambkin. It has a new producer, Edwina Gilbert (Speakman) and it has new branding and a new website.
Callen has written, developed and directed branded content, TVCs and film and television projects for nearly two decades. He was also a writer, creative director and director of content at CumminsRoss for nearly three years from 2011, and was a partner in the business. He has been a creative director at Jamshop, Clemenger Harvie and Clemenger BBDP Adelaide. He has directed a large number of TVCs and short films applauded with Cannes and One Show awards.
Frey’s background is in visual effects and design and the filmmaker, musician and photographer has an impressive portfolio of films and music clips in his reel. In 2014 he was shortlisted for the Cannes Young Director Award, and won an Aria Award for best music video.
Lambkin is one of just a handful of directors to have been awarded full accreditation as a cinematographer by the Australia Cinematographers Society. He has also won very many international awards, including New York Festivals, Mobius, ACS, One Show One Screen. In 2014, his film, Great Adventures won Best in Show and Best Narrative at The One Show’s One Screen Festival 2014.
Edwina Gilbert (Speakman) made her name as a producer at Plaza Films and 8 Commercials. She will concentrate on business development opportunities in Melbourne.
