goodwipes muscled in on Wet Ones’ Just for Hands OOH in October and lampooned Open AI’s Astra commercial in September. Now it has taken its mischievous sense of humour to the NYC Marathon.
With a recent high-profile race-day bathroom mishap putting the realities of endurance racing in the spotlight, goodwipes offered runners a cheeky reminder before they took on 26.2 miles – “Please Take a Pre-Race Poop.”
The 2026 banner circled above the starting line, while goodwipes was on the ground with guerrilla sampling, as well as partnering with several running creators to amplify the message. Creators include Wyatt Moss, who gained traction as the guy who ran a marathon every week in 2024; Alayna Sepic; Stephany Goulart; Izzy Alvarez; and Gideon Akande, a Team ULTRA member and previous Men’s Health Next Top Trainer winner, who will be conducting quick-fire, mini-mic interviews with fellow runners and Team ULTRA members, using cheeky questions about race-day bathroom emergencies to hand out goodwipes and remind runners to come prepared.
The reminder also builds on last year’s marathon effort. Goodwipes flew an aerial banner over the Staten Island starting line with a message that read, “Run Like You Already Pooped.”
