Amazon’s very witty Alexa loses her voice won USA Today’s 30th Super Bowl Ad Meter, which ranks the Super Bowl ads according to consumers’ votes.
It’s easy to see why:
But the surprise of the Super Bowl – apart from the actual game result – with the Philadelphia Eagles ending a 57-year championship drought to win its first Super Bowl ever – was the NFL’s ad. And that surprise ad came a very close second in the Ad Meter.
In the ad New York Giants star players, Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr., show how they let off steam. They dance. The pair perform their own rendition of Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey’s classic Dirty Dancing routine to the song, (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life – including the famous lift.

The ad, by Grey New York, ran in the third quarter and caused a social media surge. The choreography was by Stephanie Klemons and the film was directed by Aaron Stoller of Biscuit Filmworks. Manning and Beckam’s teammates with cameo roles included Brett Jones, John Greco and Chad Wheeler.
