Punk rock group, SteamHunk, have had admittedly surprising success so the band’s long-suffering manager is planning its organising its first world tour – five cities in nine days on a super-tight budget. That task could be a complex nightmare but Webjet has a new multi-flight planner that allows people to filter for cheapest, fastest and best across thousands of international flights.
SteamHunk is the invention of Hase Creative Melbourne. The quirky band exists to capture Aussies’ attention. Australian actress, Deborah Mailman, narrates its “rockumentary”, directed by Matthew McCaughey and produced by Hase Creative.
Hase Creative founder & executive producer, Dave Hase, commented, “We needed to communicate the ease and speed of booking complex itineraries on a tight budget, but also wanted have some fun with it… that’s when SteamHunk came about.”

The full campaign will run from November to February across digital, TV, OOH and radio and includes a mix of 30- and 15-second cut downs.
Webjet OTA chief executive officer, David Galt, stated, “Traditionally, people relied on seasoned travel agents to create complex itineraries. Now, Aussies can effortlessly plan and book a multi-city trip themselves online in minutes, thanks to Webjet’s cutting-edge automated technology.”
