HeimatTBWA\ and Hornbach have just won The 2026 ADC Black Cube for Best of Show for No Project Without Drama, that they launched last year. But their anthology of award-worthy, often startling, work continues to grow.

The newest addition is a campaign about a “stupid, useless board”, led by a thought-provoking film that mirrors passionate DIY thinking. The film grabs attention with its strange obsession over a board, that is at first dismissed by the protagonist (although it taunts him) and the narrator. As the film continues, the potential in a piece of wood floods the story – and the protagonist’s head..

Yes, it’s a film about the endless potential that lies in a scrap of wood – and DIY passion. Because in the hands, and minds, of real DIYers, a piece of wood can be anything – a fence, a swing, a toilet seat, flooring, or a toothpick. And the campaign talks to those passionate DIY-ers who store bits and pieces, like stray boards, because they’re sure they’ll need them again someday.

The campaign inspires DIY-ers with the reminder that the only limit is your imagination.

The richly cinematic film was directed by Ian Pons Jewell and produced by ANORAK x ProdCo. It is running across TV, streaming platforms, cinemas, online, and social.
