Is climate anxiety a thing? Sure, climate change is a worry, but big enough to be a condition? Three UK psychologists think so. They’ve become the Climate Psychologists. “A climate psychologist supports mental well-being, overcoming trauma, anxiety, grief, dissonance and promoting resilience in sustainability”, they say. These climate change psychologists also help people to muster their inner resources to “move from anxiety to action”. They are, in fact, a force for good, raising awareness of climate change.
And London agency, Here Be Dragons, has created a campaign for them, a collection of unconventional phone booths that aim to raise awareness about climate change and overcome anxiety about it. Their Dial4Climate phone booths, inspired by emergency SOS motorway call booths, were launched in Paris at environmental event, Change Now, and in London, first at Shoreditch then Hackney. The public can pick up the phone to listen to messages aimed to alleviate climate anxiety, with advice from Climate Psychologists founders, Megan Kennedy-Woodard and Dr Patrick Kennedy-Williams.

Climate Psychologists and Here Be Dragons plan to have their phone booths at music festivals across Europe and in other cities around the globe where climate change is a hot topic.
