J. Walter Thompson has been quick off the mark, cherry-picking Phoebe Sloane from this year’s AWARD School graduates. Sloane was the Victorian top Award School student this year and also won the live brief prize. She is now in the running for the National prize, a trip to Facebook headquarters in the US.
In the meantime, she has been invited to join J. Walter Thompson Melbourne as a creative to team up with Ruby Boynton-Boardman.
Sloane graduated from RMIT last year and shortly afterward was accepted into the MADC Wunderkind program, teaming up with a senior industry mentor for three months. She has been working at The Sphere Agency for most of this year.
Boynton-Boardman has been with J. Walter Thompson as a creative for one year now. Also a graduate of RMIT, Ruby has her own jewelry design company on the side and a finger in many creative pies outside of advertising.
“She’s bright and keen and has grown exponentially since joining the agency,” J. Walter Thompson noted.
“Phoebe and Ruby will be a young female team to be reckoned with. Bringing a fresh new perspective to clients’ briefs.”
They will report to creative director, Annie Price, and executive creative director, Kieran Antill.
