The Kinsale Award winners were announced on Saturday September 22. BBDO agencies dominated the shortlists and accumulated a healthy collection of Gold awards but Tourism Ireland won the Grand Prix for Publicis London’s Game of Thrones Tapestry, which was entered in Print/Outdoor/Ambient/Digital.

The three-day festival included speaker sessions by:
- Andy Sandoz, chief creative director at Deloitte, whose talk, Enjoy Yourself, it’s Later Than You Think, (Use all the tech you can to be as human as you can). His advice? “Take an industry and break every rule”
- Miriam Jordan-Keane, marketing director British Gas, on The Business of Creativity. “Who’s going to change things if you don’t”
- Carrie Reichardt, artist and activist. “Through art we can unite communities”
- Rosie Arnold, creative partner and head of art AMV BBDO, on Un-Stereotype the World. (The stereotypes ingrained in our advertising, it’s time to undo them.) Her advice? “We, as the Advertising Industry, have a responsibility to change things.”
- Robert Senior, chief executive officer, Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide, on Creative Bravery. “Do you think you’re doing the right thing? If yes, then keep going.”
- Antonio Fernandez (below right), former NYC Gang Leader of , on What Love Looks Like in a Gang. “You don’t have to be nasty, or an asshole to succeed.”
