Gamers and burgers could be used to explain perfect partnerships. Burger King’s Spanish agency, Lola MullenLowe, has realised this and has teamed Burger King up with Sony Playstation to deliver burgers to gamers, who don’t even have to stop playing to order what they want.
The Burger Clan delivery service consists of a team of pro gamers, who are able to sneak into Sony’s most popular Playstation 4 games to help online players complete their missions – and take their Burger King orders. Burger King will then deliver the food (Its delivery service has existed in Spain since 2014).
Bianca Shen, marketing director for Burger King Spain, commented, “Burger Clan is a creative disruption in both the home delivery and gaming worlds and it strikes a great balance between useful and fun. As a brand, we love acting differently but with a strong purpose and relevance. Burger Clan is a great example of this thinking.”
The campaign, Lola MullenLowe’s first since winning the account earlier this year, is running in Spain, with plans to extend it throughout the world in the future.
