While the other online dating platforms focus on the fantasy of finding true love because of what they offer, MercerBell has done something different.
The agency reminds you that real love doesn’t just happen the way it does in classic love stories – across a crowded office (and through the window He is washing.)…or even with the window cleaner.
So it suggests you try RSVP for a chance at the real thing.
David Bell, executive creative director, MercerBell commented, “We wanted to disrupt typical genre traditions and punch for a more genuine message about what RSVP actually offers – a real chance at finding love. We were given an opportunity to do something fun and we created a humorous ad that’s unlike anything else in the dating sphere.”
The campaign leads with a 30 second TVC and a 15 second cut down, each of which portrays the fantasy of a window cleaner and office worker who fall in love at first sight; only to be interrupted by the voice of reason, aka Jack Campbell (aka, Dr Steve Taylor of All Saints, aka Big Jim Divine of Underbelly: Razor).
Glenis Carroll, RSVP general manager remarked, “RSVP is all about increasing your chances of meeting someone with genuine relationship potential. This was our focus from the outset. We wanted something different, and we got it.”
The campaign is supported by a new RSVP website where the success stories of real members is used to entice new users.
