Sequels are never good as the original. Fake fact.
Apple has just released the sequel to its 2019 ad hit, Underdogs. It’s called The whole working-form-home-thing. It’s every bit as relatable as the original, belly-laugh funny like the original, the “selling” bits (Apple product features) are unobtrusive but impressive as in the original, it’s brilliantly directed like the original. And it’s topical – which gives it an edge over the original. We’ve all just experienced what the Underdogs go through in the film.
“It’s still a world of deadlines, meetings, group chats, conference calls, coworkers, and bosses. But it’s also a world of kids, a dog, and a hairless cat. And it’s a world where collaboration never misses a beat, whether the team uses iPad, iPhone, iMac, MacBook, or all of the above. Working from home (or working from anywhere) isn’t new, but what you can make happen together is,” Apple explained in the YouTube blurb. Icky as these blurbs often are but in this case, hell yeah.
The seven-minute film’s director is Australia’s Mark Molloy through Smuggler (Molloy is represented by Exit in AUNZ), who also directed Underdogs.
