In the UK, McCann has given Snoop Dogg a rest and launched a new brand platform for Just Eat (Menulog in Australia).
Snoop Dogg is also absent from McCann’s 2021 commercial in Australia, although his voice and the brain worm jingle, Did Somebody Say… remain. Both companies are banking on their relationships with fast food companies to keep business soaring though. KFC and McDonalds star together in the UK’s 2021 Just Eat campaign, along with UK bakery chain, Greggs. McCann Australia’s 2021 campaign for Menulog confirms the 2021 continuation of the brand’s delivery partnership with Macca’s.
The new 30-second TVC pays homage to the 2001 Still D.R.E music clip in which Snoop Dogg featured. In the film, Menulog delivery driver, Rudy, played by Rudy El Kholti (Mister Italia 2019, Bachelorette 2020) and McDonald’s employee, Karl, drive through Sydney delivering Macca’s in an orange Menulog Low Rider.
Menulog chief marketing officer Simon Cheng, commented, “Macca’s and Menulog have a similar ethos – it’s genuine, fun and playful – and as such, it was important to communicate our partnership in an authentic and light-hearted way. There’s something special that happens when the magic of the iconic golden arches meets the swagger of our bright orange Menulog Low Rider.”

The campaign went live with a 15-second and 30-second TVC on the February 16, followed by out of home spots and social media.
