Michel Gondry has taken Chanel on a new adventure, a love story that is as much about New York as it is about its protagonists (brand ambassador, Margaret Qualley, and A$AP Rocky) or fashion.
The short film, produced by Partizan, was released ahead of Chanel’s show at Métiers d’Art 2026 – the fashion world’s craft show. Its story is told without dialogue but with different camera speeds – all underlined by Le Motel’s smooth electro-jazz sound.
Chanel is nothing if not inventive, although its penchant for big names persists. The new film is very different from last year’s Haute Couture adventure, The Button:
