The New York Festivals’ World’s Best Advertising Awards were handed out on May 18 in New York.
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne’s Meet Graham for Transport Accident Commission Victoria won the Best of Show 2017 award as well as Grands Prix in Avant-Garde and Public Service Announcements / Communications plus 3 First Prize Awards, 1 Second Prize Award, and a Finalist Award. Clemenger Melb also won the Regional Agency of the Year Award for Asia Pacific.

Leo Burnett Melbourne’s Reword for Headspace won the 3rd Place UNDPI Award for public service work that exemplifies the aims and ideals of the United Nations.
Lockheed Martin, American global aerospace, defense, security and advanced technologies company won the New York Festivals 2017 Brand of the Year Award for its commitment to creativity and innovation. Creative work submitted on behalf of Lockheed Martin won 2 Grand Awards, as well as 6 First Prize Awards.
McCann New York’s The Field Trip to Mars won two Grands Prix for Lockheed Martin – one in Activation & Engagement and the other in Outdoor/Out of Home Marketing.
BBDO won 2017 Network of the Year for the fifth year in a row. 22 global BBDO offices earned 2 Grand Prize Awards, 7 First Prize Awards, 12 Second Prize Awards, 15 Third Prize Awards, and 78 Finalist Awards. In addition, the network was awarded the United Nations Department of Public Information First Prize Award and 2 UNDPI Finalist Awards.
“It’s important to us that so many BBDOs in the network are represented,” said David Lubars, chief creative officer, BBDO Worldwide, “because it proves that our claim of being a ‘global boutique’ is true; there are a lot of great BBDOs around the world.”
Tohokushinsha Film Corporation Japan won Grands Prix in both Film – Cinema/TV/Online and Branded Content/Branded Entertainment for Gravity Cat for Sony.
