Winning a great prize is good. Helping St John support communities is also good. Put the two together and you get Good Good, the simple idea behind a new St John Lottery campaign via Ogilvy and WPP Media.
The campaign brings the two sides of the lottery together – the very good prospect of winning, and the good that comes from supporting the work of St John. Proceeds from the St John Lottery help fund St John Volunteers, community first aid, first aid training and community safety programs.
The campaign is live across TV, radio, print, social, and digital display, and will be seen nationally (excluding WA). It’s the first campaign by new creative partner, Ogilvy.
Simon Gerathy, general manager St John Lottery, stated, “Our new partnership with Ogilvy allowed us to land on an idea that supports the St John cause, while still selling the all-important dream of winning, immediately setting us apart from other lotteries. A good campaign that raises funds for the community work of St John is good. It’s been a strong partnership from the outset.”
Bridget Jung, Ogilvy executive creative director, added, “We wanted to step away from familiar lottery clichés and make the two reasons to enter impossible to miss. Putting a St John volunteer straight into the glamorous world of a lottery winner gave us a simple, charming way to do that. One represents the prize, one represents the cause, and together they give us a creative platform that can flex across every prize and community story.”
