iPhone has been outshone. Samsung wins the world attempt to make best use of the Ice Bucket Challenge for self promotion.
Sure, some celebrities are doing the Ice Bucket Challenge (begun by the ALS Foundation to spread awareness about the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) to do good. Some are doing it to be seen to be doing good.
Some are doing it to be seen.
And Samsung is doing it to prove its waterproof phone is better than the iPhone 5s, HTC One M8 (which is also water resistant) and the Nokia Lumia 930 – all of which it nominates at the end of its 15 second Ice Bucket Challenge video.
The YouTube video was created by the Samsung Mobile UK and made it into eighth place on this week’s viral charts – as a new entry. it has had 4,456,092 views in its first ten days.
