But was it only for the Bitburger?
A few weeks ago, Serviceplan and Bitburger invited European visitors to Germany with a friendly Bitte (Please, in English) and the usual humorous Bitburger style. The print, out-of-home, and online campaign flooded other European countries. The text in the national languages was tailored to the respective nation and what makes it special, and the campaign included major Italian, Spanish and Belgian newspapers such as La Gazeztta dello Sport, El Pais and Le Soir.

Bitburger also installed large-scale out-of-home motifs in busy squares in the centres of European capitals. They invite the locals in places such as Leicester Square in London, Beaubourg in Paris and the legendary Gran Via in Madrid to stop by for a Bitburger (or two) in Germany.
Now the partners have created a mockumentary film on social media and online, that shows the reactions of international visitors in a reportage-like style, who are apparently in Germany solely because of Bitburger’s “request” and the invitation to taste the beer with the legendary Bitburger Siegelhopfen. It would seem that there are no other reasons why they are currently visiting Germany.
Christoph Weber, chief marketing officer at Bitburger, commented, “The almost magical effect of a friendly ‘Bitte’ is often underestimated. Wrongly so, because a simple ‘Bitte’ is the easiest way to open doors and connect people. I think the idea that so many Europeans are currently visiting Germany and having a good time is wonderful. We wanted to make a contribution to this with our campaign.”

Till Diestel, CCO Serviceplan Germany, added, “In our campaign film, we celebrated the values that unite us as across Germany. We extended an invitation to our international guests to join us in this feeling of togetherness and joy. And with a lot of warmth and humour – because what brings people closer together?“

The new campaign continues Bitburger’s work as a national partner, Bitburger is the official beer partner of UEFA EURO 2024, which will take place in Germany until July 14, 2024 under the motto, United by Football.
