There are several ways to sell the things you no longer want or need. But there’s always that worry about getting the best price.
Serviceplan France is dispelling worry with humour. Absurd humour, in a campaign called The Smooth Talkers. In the campaign’s two 30-second spots, Siamese Twins and Childbirth, people concoct wild stories in an emotional appeal for the highest possible price – a ploy that’s unnecessary at Cash Converters, the campaign promises.
With the tag-line Vendez-Vite, Achetez Mieux (Sell quickly, buy better), the campaign removes the drama from the crucial moment of selling, and emphasises the Cash Converters philosophy of applying the highest value to resale objects.
The Childbirth spot came from the statistic that food mixers are ranked in the top five most popular second-hand goods sold in the Cash Converters stores.
The films were directed by Serviceplan creative director, Daniel Perez.
