In April this year, BMF gave Andreas Smetana the chance to use his powers for the good of all Australians. The campaign, Share Your Story, was BMF’s response to a brief by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. The Royal Commission had been set up by Quentin Bryce when she was governor-general, to investigate responses to child sexual abuse in Australian institutions.
The campaign’s goal was to inform Australians about the role and purpose of the Royal Commission and put a call to action at its heart. So BMF found survivors prepared to talk about their challenges. And Smetana got to present these survivors and their challenges in a way that would invite the reading of the stories and underscore the emotions behind them.
