There’s a Netflix Stay Home campaign. It’s a complex but compelling idea, a series of billboards containing spoilers for latest season Netflix series. Netflix had nothing to do with it.
The idea is that if people spoil the efforts to contain the coronavirus by not staying at home, then the campaign is going to spoil Netflix’ shows. The campaign is running online and judging by some of the media coverage and comments, enough people think (or though, until the cat was let out of the bag) that it’s a genuine campaign running in OOH.
The campaign was created by Hamburg Germany Miami Ad School students, Seine Kongruangkit and Matithorn Prachuabmoh Chaimoungkalo (known as Brave) and was created in just three days. Kongruangkit is a current fifth quarter student at Miami Ad School Europe and Prachuabmoh Chaimoungkalo is a recent graduate.
The campaign video reads, “The best way to stop the spread of Covid-19 is to #staythefuckhome, but some people still think it’s okay to go out and chill, spoiling it for us all. So we took an extreme measure: we spoil their favourite Netflix shows.”
