In AB InBev brand, Busch Light’s Super Bowl spot, a typical Busch bloke offers tips on how to survive in the wilderness. You need three things, he says, food, drink (add product shot, Busch Lite) and shelter. Apparently, Canadian singer-songwriter, Sarah McLachlan, is an accessory. She emerges from a tent beside a wolf. Her hit song, Angel, plays softly underneath as she urges viewers to “help helpless animals find shelter”, referencing the song’s long-time use as a call to action to environmentally aware people that began with an ad in 2009 advocating against animal cruelty for the British Columbia Society to Prevent Animal Cruelty.
Clearly Busch Light’s humour is hoping to expand the brand’s reach from older male to younger (characteristically environmentally conscious).
