TBWA\London has added more creative firepower to its creative department with the appointment of Matt Swinburne as creative director. He joins from Colenso BBDO where he was group creative director.
Swinburne will report to executive creative director, Paul Jordan, to drive innovative campaigns as well as bringing ambition, high quality work, extensive global experience and a little mischief to the role. He is known for his bold and unconventional work.
Swinburne gained significant recognition with campaigns such as the Bombay Sapphire Design Museum Supermarket campaign in 2021, and Snickers Fix the World Superbowl campaign in 2020.
Throughout his career, Swinburne has worked at some of the biggest names in advertising across London, US and New Zealand, including Special New Zealand, where he was group creative director, AMV BBDO, Droga5 and McCann New York, Mother London and Saatchi & Saatchi.
He commented, “I love the energy and ambition at TBWA/London. They’re committed to making work that busts into people’s lives, makes a dent in culture and builds brands people actually care about. I’m incredibly excited to join the crew and help them on their mission.”
Andy Jex, chief creative officer at TBWA\London, added, “Matt’s travelled a long way to be with us. I hope we’re worth it. He arrives at the perfect time to help us deliver more of what we love for our clients. Impactful, ambitious work is something Matt has done all his career. We’re thrilled.”
