The lead-up to Christmas is not all about the joy of buying presents and going out to parties. It’s also about the joy of having friends and family come to visit and spending a few weeks at home – aka not at work.

Ikea has been inspiring people to experience the joy of everyday life at home all year. Now The Monkeys has amped up Ikea’s The Best Day is the Everyday effort to make Ikea the go-to place for making home great this summer.

The Monkeys creative director, Barb Humphries, commented, “Summer is a time for play, as well as for having afternoon naps. With IKEA, there’s plenty of room for both.”

IKEA Australia National Marketing Manager Kristin Bengtsson, added, “This summer we’re visiting an Australian home where the ‘grandkids’ are playfully enjoying a game of hide and seek – celebrating the everyday happiness to be had at home.”

The new film was directed by Jonny & Will at Blinkink and Finch, and narrated by Swedish actress, Lena Endre. It is running on TV and online, supported by IKEA owned channels.
