Valentine’s Day is all about carefree, spontaneous expressions of love. But love (OK, sex) comes with responsibilities, especially in the US where Roe vs World has been overturned. World Vasectomy Day (WVD) and agency, Tombras, have seized the moment to remind men they have a responsibility too and rebalance the scales of reproductive health a little.
With humour.
Tombras has hijacked the traditional Valentine’s Day card and its soppy poems into messages about getting a vasectomy. Their Cards to Nards (aka testicles) include poems such as
On this day of love I want you to remember
We don’t want a baby come November
I love you all the way from Earth to Venus
So do me a favour and disarm your penis
…and are available in digital and physical forms.

The campaign film is even more compelling – and funnier. Comedian, Ilana Glazer, adds her flair with reading lines:
The partners also made upside-down heart, testicle-like lollipops, perhaps so that they could use the wittiness, Unwanted Pregnancy Sucks…

…a series of wild out-of-home postings around New York City, call-to-action to share the cards on social media using the hashtag #CardstoNards, and a gift – a select number of people who share #CardstoNards on Instagram or Twitter will be eligible to win physical Cards to Nards greetings, as well as the custom-made lollipops.

World Vasectomy Day was launched in 2013. The global non-profit organisation is committed to encouraging and educating people on the positive inclusion of men in family planning and reproductive health and to expand access to vasectomy services and training.
Create a global movement to increase male engagement in family planning, increase investment in sexual & reproductive healthcare for men and expand access to vasectomy training and services.
