Chris Benny’s photo above was sent to me by Sam I Am (which happens to be his agency). It made me stop and look.
Yes, that actually is a big deal.
I’m a girl. I’m just not that into cars.
But that is a very striking photo.
It’s possibly a striking photo for a Porsche ad. Lucky Porsche.
If I were a boy, it might have made me want a Porsche. Ok, it did make me think for a moment that cars can be as sexy as Luke Hemsworth. But I’m a girl. And my thing is commercial creativity.
I wanted to know more about this bloke called, Chris Benny, who made me look at a car pic.
So I asked him. This is his story:

“Photography started at a young age for me. By the time I’d hit eleven I was snapping away at everything. Even at school I knew it was the profession I wanted to pursue. In years 11 and 12 I had to choose maths or photography as an elective. Almost 10 years on, I can’t add numbers but I can take a pretty decent photo! 🙂
“I’ve always loved both extreme sports and cars, so it seemed natural to shoot what I love. Being able to work with a small crew with tight deadlines has helped shape my streamlined process that just seems to work. Being able to do all post production in-house has also enabled me to keep costs down for clients. Strangely (?), they seem to like that.
“As photography is my absolute passion, I am always looking for new techniques and technologies to help cultivate new creative ideas. (Yep…I’m a nerd).”
He’s also a director:
