In the 2002 FA Cup Final, Ray Parlour scored from 25 yards in the 70th minute to secure Arsenal’s lead. Now he is the creative director of Arsenal’s Retro Collection in a sharp mockumentary by UK agency, Weirdo.
Footballers, Martin Ødegaard, William Saliba, Oleksandr Zincheko and Eddie Nketiah, add to the celebrity allure of the campaign that promotes clothes, all of which feature Arsenal’s old badge that was scrapped in 2002. The collection also includes the famous gold away kit from 2001-02. The film, which was directed by London directing duo, Crooked Cynics, ends with the line, The thing in fashion, trends come and go. But legends, legends are invincible.
The campaign includes Ray’s Fashion Parlour, opened by Parlour inn Soho, London, to get the range off to a flying start.
