During the first half of 2021, The US government admitted to reports of “unidentified phenomenon” in advance of the release of top secret Pentagon documents about UFOs. The fires of alien life speculation were relit. Media all over the world kept the flames alive. The topic spread across social media. There was a deluge of conversations. Do UFOs really exist? Are aliens already among us or are they coming?
Memac Ogilvy and IKEA, the biggest furniture retailer of the planet earth, decided that IKEA needed to get ready in case aliens would like to build their dream home close to us. To do so, the partners turned the iconic IKEA assembly instructions into instructions for aliens, changing the usual design and alphabet to be alien friendly. Humans thought it was a very cool idea.
