It’s a mad, mad, mad world when a video of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West ordering food at a Strasbourg St-Denis KFC in central Paris causes a Twitter storm. But it happened.

When the video was authenticated by KKW’s tweet of Kanye enjoying a bucket of chicken, Sid Lee and KFC were quick to respond.

A few hours later, KFC France paid homage to their visit with a tweet, featuring a bucket and the lyric, “Me and my girl split the buffet at KFC”, from Kanye’s song “Touch the Sky”. The song was included in the Bucket Bangers Spotify playlist KFC and Sid Lee Paris put together last year, which featured songs mentioning the fast food brand.
Hey @kanyewest @KimKardashian we created a bucket just for you inspired by our favorite song of yours. For the next time you’ll come split the buffet at KFC Paris… pic.twitter.com/qy9ikhl7Aq

Fans have already started flocking to the Strasbourg St-Denis KFC location. At 6 pm, Thursday evening, a commemorative plaque was erected on the kiosk the Wests used, while the employees who served them watched. It has become a site of pilgrimage for Kimye fans and chicken lovers. Organised by Sid Lee Paris, the response is a reminder of how deeply rooted KFC is in pop culture [and the lunacy of pop culture :ed].
