A scalpel-sharp carpe diem by Channel 4 is skewering Meta’s decision to end the use of independent fact-checkers on its content (in the US first). 4Creative’s We Fact Check the Zuck Out of Our News message is bring driven around London on a touring ad-van, visiting Meta’s offices and the House of Parliament. It is also being run as a print campaign and in its own socials on Meta-owned channels.
Channel 4 and its in-house agency worked with OOH media owner, Talon, and media agency, OMD UK, worked with Channel 4 to place the ad.
Katie Jackson, chief marketing officer, Channel 4, said, “Fan of facts? Us too. And right now trust is more important than ever. Truth builds trust – and for our viewers, for our brand, for our advertisers and for our people – we think that’s worth reminding you of.”
