It seems that adam&eveDDB cannot put a foot wrong when it comes to Harvey Nichols advertising. Each is a more wonderful trip further left of centre than the campaign before. And adam&eve/DDB’s command of humour, the advertising style with the greatest degree of difficulty, has not faltered yet.
The agency has even nailed its first foray into advertising for Harvey Nichols’ male audience – although it could be argued that a campaign to promote HN’s new menswear destination must be aimed at the women who determine what gets bought there.
The strapline is Great men deserve great style and the campaign is made up of five videos each with an accompanying print ad and each outlining the greatness of one man before noting his questionable fashion sense…
…and giving the world a sneak peek of a much more stylish version.
Ben Tollett, adam&eve/DDB executive creative director, stated, “Since the dawn of time, men have had a lot on their plates: great literary works to pen, earth-shatteringly complex equations to write, global superpowers to run. Something’s always had to give. And that’s usually been the stuff inside their wardrobes.”
The films are running on TV (a first for Harvey Nichols) and online and direct people to the menswear and grooming destination at Harvey Nichols’ flagship Knightsbridge store in London.
