The “most interested agency in the world”, The Royals, has added more new people to accommodate its new business wins. Andy Jones has joined as creative director and Matt Davies as planning director.
Jones joins from McCann Melbourne where he was the creative director responsible for the award-winning MIFF Emotional Trailer campaign for the Melbourne International Film Festival and Tigerair’s Infrequent Flyer program. Jones is creative even when he’s not working. He spends his spare time on his own designs, illustration and painting.
Davies has been senior brand strategist at AJF Partnership for the last two years. Before that he spent four years in Amsterdam working with Arnold Worldwide and Design Bridge on clients such as Volvo and Diageo. He has worked on campaigns that have won Effies in Australia and Asia, as well as Lions in Cannes, and when he’s not solving client problems he makes his own wine as a member of a Melbourne-based wine collective.

Nick Cummins, executive creative director at The Royals, commented, “I love Andy’s passion for craft and am a fan of his work so now having him at The Royals is not only great for us, but our clients as well. Matt is also another great senior hire. He brings some really interesting insights into what is becoming one of the best strategic teams I’ve ever worked with.”
