On Monday, M+C Saatchi Group announced the promotion of Emma Robbins to AUNZ chief creative officer, three months after her promotion to chief creative officer in Melbourne. She has been chosen to replace Steve Coll. Yesterday Scott Dettrick, AUNZ national ECD, announced that he had resigned in June and left the agency at the end of September.
Before joining M+C Saatchi, Scott was a founding creative at The Monkeys, and has led campaigns for brands including Meat & Livestock Australia, Amazon, Jim Beam, Telstra, Audi, and Qantas. With design, art direction, music, writing, and film experience, Scott has been recognised at Cannes, D&AD, AWARD, LIA, Clio, Spikes Asia, and won Global Grand Effies.
He also serves on the Australian Advertising Council’s AWARD Council and was national co-head of AWARD School from 2023 to 2025, alongside Sharon Edmondston, where he helped shape incoming creative talent.
The top tier of M&C Saatchi Group AUNZ has undergone significant change this year. Dani Bassil joined the agency as CEO of M&C Saatchi Group AUNZ in August, taking over from APAC CEO, Justin Graham, who had spent 12 years with the business, and M&C Saatchi Group AUNZ CEO, Michael McEwan, who is now principal director of Droga5 Melbourne.
