Telstra’s Christmas message to Australia is that real magic of Christmas is spending time with those most important to us. Bear Meets Eagle On Fire and +61 have housed that message in a story that stands out in the Christmas crowd and gives its audience a lovely “cuddle”.
The 90-second commercial, directed by Revolver’s Steve Rogers, is the story of a singing donkey, who finds fame on a whirlwind journey across the world before realising it misses its family and takes itself home. Its message, Together is for Christmas, is carried across the campaign that includes Christmas stockings, bags, bonbons, wrapping paper, tags and ribbons.

Our second big Christmas ad, following on from last year’s, that was a business success and picked up a couple of Effies. And more importantly, the second chapter in our Wherever We Go brand platform, reminding us that no matter where we go in life, Christmas is about getting back to those who matter most.”

The full campaign also extends into retail through two trading campaigns for Black Friday and Christmas Sale – which focus on elevating the in-store experience and making Telstra the gifting destination of choice this Christmas.
